- The FAA uses the purchase card for nearly all micro-purchases ($10,000 or below) for commercial supplies, construction, and services.
- Under the FAA’s Acquisition Management System (AMS) competition is not required for purchases of $10,000 or less.
- On a yearly basis, the FAA performs over 150,000 transactions of $10,000 or less on the purchase card for more than $100 million, with nearly 40% of these dollars spent with small businesses.
